Announcement of Scholarship for Master’s Students at the Faculty of Social Sciences (SAM)

SAM hereby announce five scholarships for master students of NOK 20.000 for the academic year 2021-2022.

The purpose of the scholarships is to link the candidate’s master thesis against one or more of the faculty’s research areas, and research groups. Note: You have to be a student at the Faculty of social sciences in order to apply for this scholarship.  

We are looking for you: 

  • who are motivated
  • who have an interesting idea for your project

Criteria for distribution:

  • a scholarship of NOK 20.000,-

  • an opportunity to participate in one or more of our research groups (meetings and possibly seminars and workshops)

  • opportunities to apply for financial support for travels related to the project

  • a dedicated academic contact person in a research group

What we offer:

  • et stipend på 20.000,-
  • mulighet til å delta i ett eller flere forskningsmiljø (møter og evt. seminarer og workshops)
  • mulighet til å søke støtte til reiser knyttet til prosjektet
  • en dedikert faglig kontaktperson i en forskergruppe

What should your application contain?  

  • planned start date and submission date for your master thesis

  • your motivation for applying

  • a project description of your master thesis max. 2500 characters

All information should be written in the e-application form – no attachments.

Deadline:

The deadline is October 17. 2021. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered. You can expect an answer within a month after the deadline. Please note that you will not receive an explanation for any potential refusal.
