Q&A Tuition fees for degree students outside the EU/EEA

Students from non-EU/EEA countries must pay a tuition fee to study in Norway. We have put together some questions and answers about tuition fees.
  • I live in the EU, but I have citizenship from a non-EU country. Do I need to pay tuition fee?

Yes, you will have to pay the tuition fee.

Please note that exchange students from OsloMet’s existing partner universities are exempt from paying the tuition fee.

  • I am from the United Kingdom; do I need to pay the tuition fee?

Yes, you will have to pay the tuition fee.

  • What is the difference between documentation of finances for visa purposes and the tuition fee?

In connection with your visa application, you need to document that you have sufficient money to cover your stay in Norway (living expenses). The tuition fee covers courses, guidance and supervision, exams, and administration.

  • Is it possible to get a refund?

You may apply for a refund if you have compelling reasons to do so.

The deadline to apply for refund is 15th September. Please send an email to: admission@oslomet.no
