Funding scheme for social activities

If you want to arrange a social activity for your study group, class, or association at OsloMet, you may apply for funding to cover food for your event.
  • What can I apply for?

Statistics show that approximately 80% of students applying for funds apply for funding to cover food as part of their event. We are therefore offering students who want to arrange an activity/event for their study group or class to apply for the following options:

    • Breakfast package: Rolls, coffee and tea. You can apply for this package if the event takes place between 8am and 3pm.
    • Lunch: Assorted wraps. Drinks are not included. You can apply for this package if the event takes place between 8am and 3pm.
    • Pizza break: Pizza and sour cream dressing. You can apply for this package if the event takes place between 8am and 10pm.

Unfortunately, we cannot take specific allergies into consideration, but we will make sure to order a certain number of vegetarian and gluten- and lactose-free options. Otherwise, assorted products will be ordered.

  • Who can apply?

All students can submit an application for funding.

  • When can I apply?

All applications must be submitted no later than 3 weeks before the date of the activity/event.

  • What do I have to include in the application?

    • Who is the event for? (class/association/study group etc.)
    • Number of participants
    • Timeslot/at what time will the event take place
    • Room/place for the event
    • Name of responsible organizer
    • Contact information for the responsible organizer
  • Criteria

    • One student must be the responsible organizer for the application and the implementation of the activity/event. It must be clear from the application who this person is.
    • Food/drinks must be delivered to a specific classroom or location on campus Pilestredet or Kjeller.
    • You must enter the correct number of participants in the application form. The number must be in relation to the actual number of participants at the activity/event.
    • Specific allergies cannot be taken into consideration, but we will make sure to order a certain number of vegetarian and gluten- and lactose-free options. Otherwise, assorted products are ordered.
    • We ask that you send at least 1 photo from the activity/event that can be used in OsloMet's communication channels to Beate T. Dessington. This serves as reporting of completed activity/event.

Unfortunately, we cannot grant applications that include 100 students or more as this will limit the number of students who can receive the offer in total at OsloMet. If you are planning activities/events for 100 students or more, we recommend that you search for other funding opportunities. For tips or advice, please do not hesitate to contact Beate T. Dessington (Pilestredet) or Wenche Larsen (Kjeller).

  • Submit your application

  • When will I receive an answer?

The scheme is ongoing and applications are processed and answered on an ongoing basis.

Please remember that you must apply at least 3 weeks prior to your event. Applications with shorter deadline will not be considered. You will hear from us as soon as the application is considered and at latest 1 week before the event takes place.
