Here you can find the buddy week program for the Faculty of Education and International studies - Autumn 2018.

Welcome to the buddy program for new students at

  • Bachelor's degree programme and one-year programme in Development studies
  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • Bachelor's degree programme  in Sign Language and Interpreting
  • Master's degree programme  in Primary and Lower Secondary Teacher Education

Important information

  • As a new student you’re automatically assigned a buddy group. You don’t have to sign up. Activities are not mandatory, but we recommend joining!
  • If buddy activities collide with mandatory classes, always make going to class your priority.
  • In the event of any changes to this activity plan, your buddy will keep you updated.

Buddies will meet you at Pilestredet 52 and the group will head towards St. Hanshaugen for the welcoming ceremony.

15.00 – 16.00

Welcoming ceremony and music for all new students at St. Hanshaugen.

20.00 – 03.00

Party at Chateau Neuf

OsloMet has booked Chateau Neuf and invite all students for a welcoming party.



Wednesday August 15th.

Quiz trail

Each class goes from place to place to where a series of tasks are located. Through the trail you will get to know your campus and the area around the school, as well as have some fun with your classmates.


17.00 – 20.00

Grilling at the park

Everybody get together to grill at St. Hanshaugen. We will bring fun games, like kubb, bocha,

volleyballs etc.


22.00 – 02.00


OsloMet has booked Sirkus for all new students and their buddies.



Thursday August 16th.

Alcohol free sports day

During the sports day classes compete against each other to get the most amount of point,

though team sports and other fun games.


22.00 – 02.00

Party at Parkteateret

OsloMet has booked Parkteateret for all new students and their buddies.

Student association day in Pilestredet 52.

Buddies will take you there at a convenient time (when you’re not in class). Student life will be more fun if you join a student association. On this day you can visit the stands of every student association at OsloMet and find one that suits your interests.


22.00 – 02.00

Party at Mesh

OsloMet has booked Mesh for all new students and their buddies.

Find your Oslo! Your buddy will take you on a get to know the city-day for all new students in

Oslo. Visit attractions, participate in activites and explore new venues in Oslo. Everything is free! For more information, visit:


19.00 – 03.00

Party at Samfunnet Bislet and Uvisst. 

We have booked both Samfunnet and Uvisst, it will be a private event for new students and their buddies until 11 PM. After 11 PM Samfunnet and Uvisst is open for anyone.

Sports Day (more information about where will be updates)

OTS are arranging a big sports day for all OsloMet students, where you and your class can go play sports and games.
