About the study place

Linfield University is located in the town of McMinnville in the state of Oregon, on the west coast of the United States.

McMinnville is a small and manageable town with around 35,000 residents, offering a small‑town atmosphere and close proximity to nature. The town has short distances and a relaxed pace of life, providing good conditions for studying. At the same time, larger cities such as Portland are within easy reach. The areas surrounding McMinnville offer easy access to mountains, forests, coastline and wine regions. The United States is generally considered a safe country to stay in (regjeringen.no), but students must have comprehensive private health insurance.

Linfield University was founded in 1858 and is a small, private university, which creates a close‑knit learning environment. The university is known for small class sizes, close academic support and high teaching quality. The McMinnville campus is green and compact, with student housing, libraries, sports facilities and social meeting places, and much of student life takes place on campus. Linfield offers a small and well‑organised study environment with close academic support and studies in calm surroundings on the U.S. West Coast.
