About the study place

Jade Hochschule is a university of applied sciences that gets its name from the river Jade that flows through the state of Lower Saxony. The school has campuses in Wilhelmshaven, Oldenburg and Elsfleth and offers courses in architecture, technology, engineering and economics.

All of the school’s locations are in the northwestern part of Germany. Oldenburg is the largest of the three with a population of around 170,000 and is located a 40 minute drive from the city of Bremen, and a half hour’s drive from Bremen airport. Oldenburg is home to several historical sites, including Schloss Oldenburg, the palace belonging to the Oldenburg ducal family. Several cultural events and festivals are held throughout the year in this city, including an international film festival with a focus on independent films. The surrounding Oldenburg district gives ample opportunity for amazing nature experiences.

Jade Hochschule is a school with human values, visions for the future and good research conditions as its core values. This is a school that sets high standards for itself and is committed to continuous improvement. This is possible with, among other things, a focus on practical experience and close contact with the local business community.
