Phillips-Universität Marburg is a public university founded in 1527 by Phillip of Hesse and is one of Germany's oldest. The university has historically been known for its humanities studies and has educated many well-known theologians and philosophers. The school offers a wide range of studies in science, art and humanities, social sciences, law and medicine.

Marburg is a beautiful university town in the German state of Hesse and is located about 96 km north of the city of Frankfurt. The city spreads along the river Lahn and has a population of about 76,000. Here you will be greeted by idyllic views of the river, a romantic city centre, countless bars, cafes and restaurants and a magnificent medieval castle overlooking the city centre. As a university town, Marburg is full of students and many different things to do. In addition, the inhabitants of Marburg are known to be very nice people so it will be easy to thrive here.
