About the study place

Hochschule für Gestaltung Offenbach am Main is a school of art and design. HfG Offenbach is divided into two departments: School of Art and the School of Design. The school offers studies within design, art, communication, media arts, stage design, costume design and product design.

Offenbach am Main is a city located along the river Main in the German state of Hesse. The city is right next to Frankfurt, which is just a short ten-minute train ride away. This is a midsized city with around 140,000 inhabitants. Offenbach, like many German cities in this region strongly, is strongly linked to industry, especially the automotive industry. Here you will find all the facilities that a big city has to offer. This includes everything from museums, art galleries, restaurants, nightlife and shopping. On sunny days it is possible to take bike rides along the river Main. Frankfurt is so close that there is no need for a train ride, it is possible to cycle there along the river.

Teaching at HfG Offenbach is future-oriented and is largely based on individual guidance and mentorship. This is a school of the 21st century, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and the thinking and teaching of the future.
