About the study place

Fachhochschule Grabünden is a university of applied sciences based in the Swiss canton of the Grisons. The school has a campus in the small town of Chur which is located in the east of the country. The school offers studies in architecture, engineering, media, technology, IT and economics.

With a population of around 35,000, Chur is the largest town in the Grisons canton, and is also its capital. Chur and the Grisons are both mostly German-speaking, but this is also the place to encounter the fourth and least known of the four official languages of Switzerland. In the alpine town of Chur, you have the opportunity to study in an enchanting mountain landscape, while you can enjoy all that city life has to offer. Here you will find picturesque winding streets, modern shopping malls and snow-capped mountains in a pure and unadulterated nature. Chur is located about 120 km southeast of Zurich, the country's largest city. There are regular train and bus connections between Chur and Zurich, as well as other destinations, making it easy to explore other parts of this beautiful country.

Fachhochschule Grabünden is an innovative college with an entrepreneurial spirit. This is a school with strong regional roots but also attracts students from outside the region and Switzerland with its welcoming atmosphere.
