About the study place

The University of Salford is a public university located in Salford, part of Greater Manchester. The school's main campus at Peel Parks has been described as a relaxed campus near Manchester, but cheaper and greener. The university is organized into four schools: the School of Art, Media and Creative Technology, Health and Society, Science, Engineering and Environment, and Salford Business School.

Salford is a city just a few miles from the Manchester city center. If you fancy a trip to Manchester, there is a train every 15 minutes from Salford, which takes less than ten minutes. In recent years Salford has seen a number of renewal projects, especially around the Salford Quays area. This includes the property development MediaCityUK which houses not only the university's media department, but also the BBC and ITV. Salford is one of the UK's greenest cities, where you can enjoy life by the water, in both urban and rural surroundings.

The University is inspired by the Manchester area's industrial history. This is a school that conducts pioneering industry-focused research, which means that as a student here you have an opportunity to take part in a possible new industrial revolution.
