About the study place

NHL Stenden Hogeschool is a university of applied sciences in the northern part of the Netherlands. The school has locations in Leeuwarden, Emmen, Meppel, Groningen and Terschelling. The school offers degree programmes in business, communication, media and design, IT, tourism, management, European studies and education. 

The NHL Stenden's main campus is located in Leeuwarden, the capital of Friesland province and the province's largest city with a population of around 100,000. Amsterdam is about 90 minutes away by car and the North Sea coast is only 30 minutes away. Although Friesland is one of the most sparsely populated provinces in the country, the city of Leeuwarden has a lot to offer. The city has a beautiful historic center, a large selection of shopping and dining opportunities and excellent access by public transport to the rest of the country. The school's second largest campus is located in Emmen, which has become a high-tech hub. Bluetooth technology, for example, was invented here. The school's additional locations are found in quiet and scenic surroundings 

NHL Stenden is strong local roots in the northern part of the Netherlands, while simultaneously having a strong international character. About 15% of the students at the school are international students, from over 90 different countries. The courses at NHL Stenden follows the latest developments and innovations in the various disciplines.

In order to have 30 ECTS credits approved at OsloMet after the exchange, you must take 30 ECTS credits at this institution.
