About the study place

Hogeschool van Arnhem en Nijmegen, also called HAN, is one of the largest universities of applied sciences in the Netherlands. The school is based in the province of Gelderland with campuses in the cities of Arnhem and Nijmegen. HAN has a varied selection of degree programmes in environmental and natural sciences, business, IT, health sciences, sports, art and culture, education, behavioral and social sciences, law, language, communication, engineering and technology. 

Gelderland province is located in the center-east of the country. Arnhem is the capital of the province, while Nijmegen is its largest city. It is about 24 km between the two cities, a quick 15 minutes by train. Amsterdam is also accessible by train from both cities. In Arnhem you can spend time at the famous Burgers’ Zoo or the open-air museum. If you are interested in fashion, the city offers many great shopping experiences. Nijmegen is the oldest city in the Netherlands and is also known as a lively university town with a large student population. 

More than 3,000 international students from over 120 different countries study at HAN in these quiet student towns, just one hour away from Amsterdam.

In order to have 30 ECTS credits approved at OsloMet after the exchange, you must take 30 ECTS credits at this institution.
