Università degli Studi di Palermo is a cultural and scientific university in the region of Sicily in Italy. They offer several educations and courses in for example health, law, business, humanities and engineering. The university is concerned with good research and works every day to find new solutions to complex problems.

Palermo is the capital city in the region of Sicily and is located in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. The city is the fifth largest in Italy and is known for its unique history, the wonderful culture and architecture and last but not least gastronomy. There is plenty to do in this beautiful city and you should definitely visit The Grandiose Baroque of Casa Professa. This is a wonderful church with an interesting history. In Palermo you will also find the beautiful Mondello beach where you can walk among palm trees and swim in the crystal-clear sea. The city also has the largest opera house in Italy and is worth a visit. You will find everything from shopping malls to small cozy shops selling food and exotic fruits and vegetables. The various markets around the city represent a large part of the culture of Palermo. Th public transport in the city can be experienced as challenging, but they have both bus, tram, train and metro.

The university is concerned with adapting to a growing society and they constantly improve their educational offer by introducing new fields. They offer specializations in many fields, so that students here gain a competence that is sought after in the working life.

In order to have 30 ECTS credits approved at OsloMet after the exchange, you must take 30 ECTS credits at this institution.
