You should visit the historical places such as the Asinelli Tower, Piazza Maggiore and the Neptune Fountain. The city also has several beautiful parks as for example the Giardini Margherita or San Pellegrino, where you can enjoy a coffee or go for a run. Bologna is known for being the gastronomic capital of Italy and is the hometown of pasta Bolognese. It is easy to get around by public transport or walk, as the city is quite compact.
