Coronavirus in Norway
Our campuses are open. Please read updated information for students and staff on our website.
If you are staying in SiO accommodation, you have 14 days to collect your keys from your contract start date (1st of August for the autumn semester or 1st of January for the spring semester). If you are arriving in Norway more than 14 days after your contract start date, it is very important that you notify SiO. If you fail to notify them, you will lose your accommodation.
OsloMet offers an arrival service for new international students in the beginning of each semester. Accepted students will be informed about how to sign up for this.
If you arrive outside of OsloMet’s arrival service, you will have to collect your keys from SiO’s housing office.
Students staying at a student house in Oslo can collect their key from the SiO Customer Service Centre. The centre is located at Kristian Ottosens hus, Problemveien 9 (University of Oslo).
Students staying at Åråsen student house (Lillestrøm) can collect their keys from SiO’s housing office in the basement of Åråsen student house, Monday - Friday between 14:00 and 15:00. Alternatively, you can send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will make a special arrangement with you to collect your keys.
More information about collecting your keys can be found on SiO’s website.
Arriving outside of SiO’s opening hours:
It is important that you arrive during SiO’s opening hours. If you arrive outside of SiO’s opening hours you can request their late arrival. This should booked a week in advance of your arrival date and will cost 300 NOK.
