Assessment

The assessment form is twofold, consisting of a semester paper and an individual three-day written home exam. The semester paper can be written individually. The scope should be of approximately 15 pages. It can also be written in a group of two to three students. The scope should then be approximately 20 pages.

The two parts are graded separately. Both parts of the exam must be assessed with a pass grade in order for a student to pass the course. The semester paper counts for 50 per cent and the exam paper counts for 50 per cent of the overall final assessment of the course. Grades for the different parts are stated on the diploma.

Candidates who fail the ordinary exam can take a resit/rescheduled exam in the part(s) they failed. If the semester paper is written in a group, all the group members must take a resit/rescheduled exam if a fail grade has been awarded.

Grading scale

A grade scale with grades from A to E for pass and F for fail is used.

Examiners

The exam papers are graded by one internal and one external examiner.
