MAUUD4500 Interaction Styles and Technologies for Accessibility Course description

Kunnskap

Studenten:

• har kunnskap om sentrale sykdomsgrupper basert på innsikt i kroppens oppbygging og funksjon
• har kunnskap om bruksområder og de vanligste bivirkninger for de mest brukte reseptfrie legemidler
• har kunnskap om psykisk helse, psykiske plager og lidelser som er relevant for yrkesutøvelse og opplæring
• har kunnskap om veiledning og ulike veiledingsteknikker

Ferdigheter

Studenten:

• kan utøve praktisk førstehjelp
• kan vurdere smittefare i yrkesutøvelse innen helse- og oppvekstfag og kunne forebygge smittespredning
• kan anvende kunnskap om kroppens oppbygning og funksjon i yrkesutøvelsen
• kan anvende ergonomiske prinsipper i yrkesutøvelsen

Generell kompetanse

Studenten:

• kan drøfte sammenhenger mellom livsstil og sentrale sykdomsgrupper
• har oversikt over helseutfordringer som er sentrale for utøvelse av eget primæryrke
• kan anvende ulike strategier for veiledning, motivasjon og mestring overfor elever/lærlinger, og gi opplæring i hvordan yrkesutøveren kan ta slike strategier i bruk

• Skriftlig gruppeoppgave med vekt på yrkesrelaterte utfordringer. Omfang: 1200 ord (+/- 10 %). Arbeidskravet kan løses individuelt ved sykdom eller lignende, etter avtale med faglærer.
• Individuell skriftlig refleksjonsoppgave om motivering og veiledning i opplæring. Omfang: 1000 ord (+/- 10 %).

Alle arbeidskrav som er synliggjort i emnebeskrivelsene må være godkjent før eksamen kan gjennomføres. Et ikke-godkjent arbeidskrav kan omarbeides og leveres til godkjenning ytterligere én gang. Ved sykdom eller lignende kan fraværet kompenseres etter avtale med faglærer.

On successful completion of this course the student

• has advanced knowledge of multimodal user interfaces
• has advanced knowledge of input and output technologies
• can analyse problems and issues in interactions related to context, such as accessibility in public spaces, mobility problems, and the user's affective state
• can use knowledge of interaction technology to address new problems in universal design of ICT

Skills

On successful completion of this course the student

• can independently use appropriate methods of user centred interaction design and evaluation; both heuristic and automatic, in an independent manner
• can analyse and critically deal with the results from relevant research literature, apply these to structure and formulate scientific arguments, and assess the suitability of published results on new problems and issues
• can carry out independent, limited research or development projects under supervision and in accordance with applicable ethical standards
• can present scientific work orally
• can debate and conduct scientific discussions

General competence

On successful completion of this course the student

• can apply knowledge and skills in interaction technology on new problems and issues for carrying out advanced facilitation tasks and projects
• can communicate scientific problems, analysis and conclusions in the field to both specialists and the general public
• can contribute to original thinking and innovation processes

Emnet omhandler grunnleggende kunnskap innen anatomi og fysiologi, sykdomslære og psykisk helse. Kunnskap om veiledning og motivasjon knyttes både til yrkesutøvelse og læreryrket.

• Two individual oral presentations of research articles (45 min per presentation including questions).
• Being opponent against two student presentations.

• Two written group project reports (2000-3000 words for report 1 and 4000-5000 words for report 2). This part of the examination counts 70% of the final grade.
• Individual oral examination (20 minutes for each candidate). The oral examination counts 30% of the final grade.

Each group may consist of up to three candidates. Both exams must be passed in order to pass the course.

The oral examination cannot be appealed.

For the oral exam, students will not have access to computers or other aids.

A grading scale of A (highest) to F (lowest) where A to E is a pass grade and F is a fail grade.

Two internal examiners will assess the report and oral exam. External examiner is used periodically.
