Learning outcomes
The oral exam is assessed by two examiners. At least 20 % of the exams will be assessed by an external examiner. The external examiner’s assessment should benefit all students.
Teaching and learning methods
2 credits overlap with FYSIO1000 and MENDI1000, 3 credits overlap with FYSIO1100 and MENDI1100, 1 credit overlap with FYSIO1200 and MENDI1200 and 9 credits overlap with FYSIO1300 and MENDI1300.
Course requirements
The following coursework is compulsory and must be approved before the student can sit the exam:
- 5 of 7 individual exercises
- participation in software lab course (4 hours)
- 1 group assignment in practical lab, 3-5 page report
Assessment
Individual written exam, 3 hours
The result of the exam can be appealed.
A resit or rescheduled exam may take the form of an oral exam. If oral exams are used for resits or rescheduled exams, the exam results cannot be appealed.
Permitted exam materials and equipment
All aids enclosed with the exam question paper, writing- and drawing materials, and a handheld calculator that cannot be used for wireless communication or to perform symbolic calculations. If the calculator’s internal memory can store data, the memory must be deleted before the exam. Random checks may be carried out.

Grade scale A-F.

One internal examiner. External examiners are used regularly.
