Target group
The primary target group for the course are employees at OsloMet with a first language other than Norwegian, and want to prepare for the B1 test in Norwegian. The course is also open for the employees partner. B1, part 2 is intended for those who have completed and approved the B1, part 1 course, or have acquired equivalent skills in other ways
About the course
The course focuses on Norwegian at an intermediate level, orally and written, and is thematically related to the workday as an academic at OsloMet. Knowledge about the Norwegian society will also be emphasized. The teacher will provide information about necessary textbooks.
Course dates
Norwegian course B1, part 2 starts at 12:30 on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, the day after B1, part 1 ends. The course runs on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:30 to 2:15 p.m. On some Wednesdays, there will also be lessons from 14:30 to 15:30 for all language levels. There we will sing some Norwegian songs and address some general, common, language challenges.

Learning outcomes
Norwegian language, written and oral, at level B1. The course corresponds to the Common European Framework of Reference of Languages descriptions of B1-level language competencies (coe.int).
Admission requirements
Participants must have passed the Norwegian test on level A2 and completed B1 part 1 to get admission.
