    • Click “Submit”.
      • Please note that your submission is not automatically delivered when the time runs out — you must click “Submit” yourself.
      • You can withdraw and re-submit your exam as long as the deadline has not passed.
    • If you want a receipt for your submission, click “Send receipt”. You can also check your submission status to see the time of submission.

  • Interesting to know about: upload and submit your thesis as a group or individually in WISEflow

    Predefined groups

If you automatically have been assigned to a group you do not need to create your own group or invite group members.

Groups you create yorself: single-person group

    • If individual submissions are allowed in addition to group submissions, select “Create one-person group.”
    • Enter a group name (for example: “Group 1”), but don´t use your own name.

Groups you create yourself: groups with multiple members

    • One group member creates the group.
    • Enter a group name (for example: “Group 1”), but don´t use your own name.
    • Invite participants by searching for their names. Only students registered for the exam can be found in the search.
    • Click “Create group” in WISEflow.

    Confirming group invitations

    • Group members will receive an invitation that must be accepted.
    • Accept the invitation by clicking “Execute” in the WISEflow dialog box.

    Submitting the group’s answer

    • When all invitations have been accepted, the submission can be delivered.
    • If you are invited to a group but do not accept the invitation, the exam will not be submitted. You will also not be able to submit an individual answer, and therefore you will not receive a grade.
    • Only one shared submission is delivered on behalf of the entire group.
    • Any member of the group can submit — not just the person who created the group.
    • Remember: you must always click “Submit”!

    Submission receipt

    • In the submission status view, you can see the time of submission.
    • To receive a submission receipt, click “Send receipt.”
    • Each group member must send their own receipt if everyone wants a copy.

    NB

    • It is not possible to add new members after the submission has been delivered.
    • You cannot be a member of more than one group in an exam.

  • Publish your thesis in The Norwegian Research Information Repository (NVA)

OsloMet encourages students and staff to deposit their work in open repositories like NVA (nva.sikt.no).

As part of the submission process in WISEflow, you will be asked whether you would like your work to be published. The version you upload to the exam system is the version that may be published. You can withdraw your consent to publication at a later stage.

If your work is subject to confidentiality restrictions due to non-disclosure obligations, you should select "No" when asked if you wish to publish your work. If you choose "No", the full text of your work will not be published. However, metadata such as the title, abstract, and author name(s) will still be made publicly available. For this reason, you should avoid including sensitive information in the abstract.

For more details on publishing your thesis visit the University Library's website (student.oslomet.no).

If your bachelor´s or master´s thesis contains information subject to the duty of secrecy, it must not be made accessible or available in the open repository NVA (nva.sikt.no). In that case you must fill out a form for restricted access to the thesis and upload the document together with your thesis.

If your thesis is restricted due to confidentiality obligations, you must select "No" when asked whether you want to publish your thesis. If you select "No," the thesis itself will be exempt from publication, but metadata (title, abstract, and author name) will still be made public. Therefore, it is advisable to avoid sensitive information in the abstract. Read about data privacy in bachelor´s and master´s theses on the student´s pages (student.oslomet.no).

  • Licencing and data protection

During the submission process in the exam system, you will be asked whether your thesis requires restrictions on publication in the form of:

    • delayed publication, and/or
    • restricted access due to statutory confidentiality obligations.

If your bachelor's or master's thesis contains sensitive or confidential information, you must complete a confidentiality request form for work subject to non-disclosure obligations.

The same rules apply to student projects as to research projects. On the webpage about personal data and privacy in master's theses, you can read more about the processing of personal data in student work.

You should also discuss this with your supervisor.
